A charity drive is aiming to launch a cultural melody to the Christmas number one spot. The project aims to send support to people in Gaza while also showcasing Palestinian culture and creativity.

A Possibility for Unity and an "Unlikely Coup"

Renowned figure Brian Eno, who contributes to the track, stated that the song titled Lullaby represents a moment to support Palestinians over the Christmas period. He acknowledged the potential for an unlikely festive coup.

“That would be amazing if that occurred, yes,” he said. “I’m not gonna be completely disappointed if it doesn’t, festive releases are a thing unto themselves.”

Resilient Spirit of Dignity and Freedom

Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, who performs on the version of a traditional lullaby called Yamma Mwel El Hawa, explained the song's defiant core message.

“The song holds a deeply meaningful spot for countless listeners,” Barghouti shared. “The message is that I would rather die in dignity than live a life without freedom. That is the core idea of the song; we desire to exist a respectful existence that we are entitled to as Palestinians.”

Track's Background and Star-Studded Lineup

The single was laid down following a solidarity show held in late summer. First conceived to be captured during the live event, the piece was shelved during the concert due to time constraints.

The notable list of musicians contributing to Lullaby includes a group of prominent voices from the industry. All took part in the earlier concert, which reportedly raised a considerable total for charitable causes.

Final Touches and Availability

Lullaby was brought to life by a trio of music creators. The track showcases a mix of the heritage language with freshly written English words.

The team running the project have clarified that their aim is to generate maximum funds for a charitable pot. These proceeds will be allocated to Palestinian causes through an partnering humanitarian organization.

“There is no a fixed goal,” a figure said. “We aim for as much as possible. Naturally, the greater the amount, the better. All proceeds are directed out to those in need in Gaza.”

The context in the region was noted for its extreme devastation, with a overwhelming percentage of buildings described as in ruins or severely impacted.

“Given that reality, a few million won't make that much difference. But I think what truly matters is above all making this cause better known and proving the human dimension of the story.”

The single 'Lullaby' is launching on Friday. Additionally, a complete film of the charity concert will be made available for streaming on a major video platform from later in the month.
