The Simpsons Arrives in Rocket League: Unfortunately Not the Vehicle You're Hoping For
It was previously announced that the iconic animated series was teaming up with Fortnite, but this isn't the sole destination where fans can experience the world of Springfield. The long-running series is also making its way to Rocket League, introducing an vehicle customization option that will also be compatible in the Fortnite universe. That said, whether players will truly desire to equip it is a different matter, as there's only one Springfield car the community is itching to drive, and this new offering isn't that one.
The Dream Vehicle
Although most players would undoubtedly love to compete behind the wheel of Homer's custom creation—the famously flawed car the patriarch built personally in the 1991 installment "the one where he meets Herb"—regrettably, that isn't what players are receiving. We aren't even getting the massive SUV, the heavy-duty vehicle featured in season 10. Instead, players are getting the Simpsons' standard beat-up four-door, which has been in the family since 1989. Even though this specific vehicle has seen better days, it stands as an recognizable element of the show. For those who analyze the game's car hitboxes, the trusty sedan shares the same hitbox as the Dominus.

Additional Themed Cosmetics
But that's not the sole customization item from the series arriving in the game. The event will also include a series of challenges to unlock additional rewards, all of which are Simpsons-themed. As detailed in a official announcement, the missions will require participants to "get as many centers and clears as there are the show's years on air, gather boost canisters as if your navigation is set to the Simpson residence, and drive a distance worthy of acquiring the ideal pastries!"
Although the full lineup of challenge rewards isn't yet disclosed, here is what's been announced so far:
- Blinky topper
- Homer's hedge-themed banner
- Waste wheels
- 20,000 XP per challenge
Based on promotional images is a reliable guide, it seems players will also get rims featuring a television showing the show's opening credits, Kang and Kodos topper, a sprinkled donut boost trail, and rocket boosts themed to burning tires and Krusty's famous restaurant.
Event Timing and Fortnite Connection
This event coincides with the extensive Simpsons takeover of Fortnite, which brings a completely new map of Springfield, as well as a 30-day Battle Pass. The Rocket League x The Simpsons celebration begins on Saturday, Nov. 1 and ends on November 17th.
