Trump's Family Member Gets Expert Tips from Golf Legend Woods Ahead of Professional Golf Debut
The rising star boasts considerable online audience
Kai Trump will have numerous prominent backers as she begins her LPGA debut later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is connected to a former US president, obtained a tournament invitation to play at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.
The former president, someone who loves golf, operates several international courses and frequently competes against Kai.
"He's pretty good. I can't reveal details but we play tight competitions," she stated.
She mentioned that her grandfather, who won't be present, counseled her: "Just stay calm."
"My grandpa basically suggested to go out there and enjoy myself," she explained.
"From my perspective, he's just an ordinary family member. He can't make it for the tournament. He's focused on world affairs, making him rather occupied."
While still amateur, Kai has competed in a mere three competitions recently and has ranking 461 in AJGA listings.
However she's able to seek guidance from 15-time major champion, in a relationship with Kai's mother.
"He is the greatest golfer globally," Kai expressed.
"Furthermore, he's a superior individual. He advised me to go out there, enjoy myself, and go with the flow."
The golfer will compete against several most prominent players in women's golf at this tournament, featuring world number two Nelly Korda, England's Charley Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Officials mentioned that her participation brings the sport to new audiences, specifically with younger fans.
Kai boasts millions of followers and recently launched a personal apparel and wellness brand.
She begins at 17:30 GMT.
